STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
[International & Local Students]
We recognize that students
experience a variety of challenges,
coming to a new country, living away
from family and friends and the
demands placed upon them by their
academic studies.
To support your academic
achievements and insure you obtain
the maximum benefits from your
studies the MIHE provides the
following range of support services
INDUCTION AND ORIENTATION
All new students attend an induction
and orientation programme which
takes place in the week prior to the
start of classes. This provides an
excellent opportunity to meet your
fellow students and members of staff
who will be available to answer any
questions you may have.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NATIONAL HEALTH
SERVICE (NHS) TREATMENT
All full-time international students
who are enrolled for a continuous
period of study of six months or
longer are entitled to free medical
treatment from the National Health
Service (NHS). You can register with
the local Medical Centre under the
same arrangements as British
students. Once you have registered
with the NHS, most treatment is
free. Charges are made, however, for
prescriptions, dental care and
optical checks. If you require
treatment for a pre-existing medical
condition you may be charged for
such treatment. In such cases, it is
advisable to consider taking out
Health Insurance.
